You agree to use this website for lawful purposes only and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use of the website.
2. Website Accuracy & Liability
Information on this website is provided for general purposes. While I strive to keep all content accurate and up to date, I make no warranties regarding its completeness or availability. I am not liable for any loss or damage you may suffer from using this website, including reliance on any information contained within it. Your statutory rights under Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected.
3. Third-Party Links & Privacy
This website may contain links to third-party sites. I am not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these external sites. Any personal information collected through this website (e.g., via the enquiry form) is handled in strict accordance with my Privacy Policy.
4. Intellectual Property
All content, images, logos, designs, and materials on this website are owned by Madeleine Goldsmith unless otherwise stated. You may not copy, reproduce, or use any content without prior written permission.
5. Changes to Terms
I may update these Terms from time to time. By continuing to use the website after changes are posted, you accept the updated Terms.
PART B: BRIDAL SERVICE & BOOKING TERMS
6. Securing Your Booking
All wedding dates are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Your event date is secured only once your signed Wedding Agreement and a 25% non-refundable booking fee are received. All amendments to this agreement must be made in writing. I will always accommodate booking changes where possible; however, as timing adjustments may be limited by other bookings, please inform me as soon as possible.
7. Payments & Surcharges
A milestone payment is due at the time of your hair and/or makeup preview. The remaining balance of your agreed fee is payable 14 days prior to your wedding day via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) or STRIPE. Any timeline adjustments requiring services to commence prior to 7am or conclude after 6pm will incur an additional fee of $55 per half-hour.
8. Cancellations & Booking Changes
If you cancel your booking with less than 30 days notice, 50% of the agreed fee (minus travel charges) is payable within 30 days. If cancellation occurs with less than 14 days notice, 100% of the agreed fee (minus travel charges) is payable.
The initial 25% booking fee remains strictly non-refundable. Should any member of your party forego a prearranged service on the day, 100% of the agreed fee will still apply. Where possible, this service will be credited to the client on the same day; at Madeleine’s discretion.
9. Health, Safety & Liability
I hold valid Public Liability, Kit Contents Insurance, and Infection Control Procedures. You are obligated to notify me of any allergies or contagious illnesses (including open wounds, conjunctivitis, cold sores, or flu) within your booking. I reserve the right to refuse services to anyone presenting a contagious condition without refund. If I am unable to complete this agreement due to a force majeure event (such as natural disaster), I will refund all fees with no further liability.
10. Travel & Logistics
Travel fees are itemized in your agreed fee. Any parking costs incurred on the day are to be covered by the client; hotel valet parking will be utilized and charged directly to your room where applicable. Please ensure your preparation space includes a designated set-up table, a safe power outlet, and ample lighting.
11. Timings & Late Arrivals
If the scope of the original agreement cannot be fulfilled due to client tardiness, services may be reduced, but the client remains liable for the total agreed fee. A bridal party more than 30 minutes late without notice will be considered a "no-show," resulting in forfeiture of the booking fee and liability for the total agreed fee.
12. Photography Release & Privacy
All personal and event information provided will be treated confidentially and only made available to relevant parties (e.g., an assisting artist or your photographer) with your consent. Photos taken by me or your professional photographer may be used as examples of work for future clients to view. The client agrees to my use of these photos, as well as any shared professional photos, on my portfolio and social media. Your photographer will always receive appropriate credit for their work.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
